- Canon / Canonical / "Part of the script" - Refers to whether an event or death is a part of the lore, story, script, or planned event in the Dream SMP. Members of the SMP may loosely joke about an unplanned event or death being "canon" or "a part of the script," or refer to whether their character is canonically "aware" of a plot-point or event.
- Example:
- After Ranboo was killed by Clarencio the Llama, there was some debate whether this counted as his first canonical death as part of the 3 Lives System on the Dream SMP, as his wiki page had been updated to show he had lost one life at the time.[9] As the event was not of major story significance (as it was a joke death), the page was later updated to show that the death was no longer canon.
