Historia[]

La furgoneta de las drogas[]

When first arriving on the Dream SMP, Wilbur was looking to create some sort of empire of his own, and decided that doing it with drugs, or potions, would make the most sense. He began to have problems with Sapnap, who came to investigate after Tommy and Wilbur began stealing blaze rods to fuel their potion brewing. After some scuffles with Sapnap as well as Fundy, the drug empire fell apart, and Wilbur began forming a new plan

Motives for Independence[]

Following the fall of the drug empire, Wilbur realized that all of their enemies at the time had been Americans. On this basis, he began drafting ideas of creating a nation separate from the Dream SMP where all Europeans could live in harmony. The began giving out ideas for names, before settling on "L'Manberg", the 'manberg' portion because they were all men, and the 'L' to make it sound more European. They began building a wall around their nation made out of yellow and black bricks, garnering attention from Dream.

They told Dream of their plan, to which he was at first somewhat alright with, trying to work with them briefly, even naming Tommy's home, the BSA L'Manberg Embassy. Eventually, however, Wilbur began to draft a formal Declaration of Independence, to which Dream, Punz, and Sapnap replied with their own Declaration of War.

Forming a Nation[]

While gearing up for the coming war, Wilbur began to bring the nation of L'Manberg together, creating revolutionary skins for his peoples. At this point in time, Wilbur, Tommy, Tubbo, Fundy, and Eret were the official citizens of L'Manberg.

Background of the War[]

"We have no Mercy! No mercy for you!"

~Dream 2020

On August 2nd, 2020, Wilbur Soot/SMP received a video message sent by Dream/SMP. Dream's words go by: "Tommy, Wilbur and the rest of 'l Manchildberg. We, are, at war. There is, no mercy, we've burned down Tubbo/SMP's house, we've, planted TNT canons around your land, we have cobblestone walls at the outside and we've shot one warning shot inside of your walls. We have, no mercy! No mercy for you! We will burn down your houses, we will kill everything inside your walls! And we will take back the land that was rightfully ours. If you do not surrender, I wanna see white flags, white flags outside of your base by tomorrow, at dawn or you are dead!" Then, Tommy, Wilbur and the rest doubt to make a decision whether they are going to fight them, or aren't. Tommy then lets Wilbur choose, who says that they are outnumbered, out manned and outgunned, however, he still chose to fight.

The War for Independence[]

"Independence, or death. If we get no revolution, then we want nothing. We would rather die, then give into you and join your SMP."

-Wilbur Soot, 2020

Battle Of The Power Tower[]

The first official battle of the war took place in Tommy's power tower, just outside of his home at the embassy.

Tubbo had been grinding away potions and other items needed for an all out war, when Dream, Sapnap, Punz, and George had found him in his jungle base thousands of blocks from spawn. Tubbo had built his base so that it was only easily accessible through a Nether portal and a run through the Nether roof. He realized that the only way for them to get back was for them to either die, and loose all of their gear, or to return through the Nether portal. Tubbo then managed to collect enough items in his ender chest as the opposition continued to kill him over and over again, before breaking his bed and respawning in at spawn.

He then began contacting as many of his fellow revolutionaries as possible, hurrying to the Nether portal that was most closely linked to the one currently in the Nether. Tubbo, with the help of Tommy, began trapping the Nether portal so that they could kill every Dream Team member in one fell swoop, and hopefully make the war a little shorter.

Tubbo began surrounding the portal with obsidian, placing an End crystal inside so that he could blow them up when they came through. However, this proved futile, as it turned out that the Dream Team had found another way out through a piece of broken bedrock Tubbo hadn't known about, which allowed them to escape. Tubbo, Fundy and Eret managed to escape the tower back into L'Manberg, leaving Tommy trapped on top of his Power Tower. He was shot by Sapnap, but respawned in his house, which was now the L'Manberg Embassy, and fled to L'Manberg. As the Dream Team won the first battle of the war, the L'Manbergians were forced to regroup within their own borders.

Initial Negotiations[]

Wilbur Soot, the general of the L'Manberg army, logged on after the defeat, moving to establish a time and a place for the second battle with Dream.

The original 5 members of L'Manberg, Wilbur, Tommy, Tubbo, Eret, and Fundy gathered and read the Declaration of “Independance”. Meanwhile, Dream's soldiers surround the walls and begin firing shots. Wilbur then asked to meet Dream's team on his terms.

Formation of the 5th Battalion[]

Main article: L'Manberg 5th Revolutionary Battalion

Wilbur put Tommy in charge of his army, as he considered himself to be too old. Tommy declared them the “5th Battalion”. The 5th battalion met Dream's team at the Power Tower, where the team then revealed TNT cannons, which they used to blow up the ground beneath the 5th Battalion.

Battle of the Embassy[]

The Battle of the Embassy began as the two armies marched towards the battlefield outside the L'Manberg Embassy.

As the L'Manbergians arrived, they discovered that it was a trap, as the Dream Team began shooting flaming arrows down from Tommy's Power Tower and setting off TNT that had been placed beneath the battlefield.

Under fire from the Dream Team, the L'Manbergians retreated into their embassy, returning fire. However, the Dream Team began to retreat, and the L'Manbergians pressed this advantage, and managed to reach Punz's own tower, which was taller than Tommy's, and began firing down onto the Dream Team.

Battle Of The Two Towers[]

With the high ground, the L'Manbergians began to shoot downwards at the Dream Team, who were unable to return fire due to the height of their opponents. Even with this disadvantage, the Dream Team was able to shoot at Wilbur (who was acting as bait at the time), and nearly killed him before deciding to retreat. After this, Eret suggested that the L'Manbergians should regroup in back in L'Manberg, as L’Manberg seemed to be gaining the upper hand in the early battles.

The Betrayal[]

Eret escorted the L'Manbergians down into a secret underground tunnel within L'Manberg's hills, known only to him, that he called the "Final Control Room".

The rest of the group followed under the impression Eret had a new secret weapon. They reached a small obsidian room with chests, marked with each of their names, and a button in the center. Wilbur remarked that the chests were empty, while Tommy pressed the button, activating a trap that Eret had set for the group.

The trap caused a series of piston doors to open in the walls, which revealed the Dream Team inside. The L'Manbergians were slaughtered by the Dream Team SMP's weapons and harming potions, with no prior info on the event. Eret then yelled,

DOWN WITH THE REVOLUTION, BOYS. IT WAS NEVER MEANT TO BE.

signifying to the rest of the group that Eret had betrayed them.

The L'Manberg forces lost all of their best armor and weapons in the process, and were beginning to lose hope for the future.

Eret later revealed that he betrayed L'Manberg as part of an offer by Dream to become the king of the Dream Team SMP server.

Second Negotiations[]

Robbed of their best armor and weapons, the L'Manberg army was at a low point. Wilbur asked to convene with Dream, in which he suggested peace and emancipation.

Dream in return asks for “white flags” signaling surrender. Dream claimed that if his demands are not met in 30 minutes he would blow up L’Manberg. Wilbur claimed that he was bluffing, so the L'Manbergians stood their ground within their nation in solidarity as Dream and George ignited a single piece TNT.

Dream Detonates L'Manberg[]

Dream and George approached the border wall of L'Manberg, placing a block of TNT on the ground inside L'Manberg and threatening to ignite it unless they surrendered. L'Manberg still refused, believing that the explosion of a single block of TNT would barely cause any damage

Unbeknownst to them it was revealed that Eret had placed dozens of blocks of TNT under the ground, causing a huge explosion that wiped out a large part of L'Manberg's land when Dream ignited the TNT,,including a part of the Camarvan, which had become the L'Manberg centre of operations, and a symbol of their freedom.

The L'Manbergians leapt into the lake for safety, armorless, weaponless, and betrayed, they fled to a bunker Tommy had prepared a while ago to regroup.

The Duel[]

All hope seemed to be lost for L'Manberg's cause for independence, which lead to Wilbur and Tommy to meeting with Dream to attempt to reach a peace deal.

Before the negotiations, Wilbur had begged Tommy not to do anything rash and reckless, but the second Tommy faced Dream, he challenged him to a bow duel, to Wilbur's dismay. The two agreed that if Tommy won, L'Manberg would officially be granted independence from the Dream Team SMP server, but if Dream won, L'Manberg would rejoin the Dream Team SMP server and Tommy would give Dream the Mellohi music disc.

This would end the first chapter of the previous conflict between the two over the ownership of the music discs Cat and Mellohi, better known as the Disc Saga. The bow duel would see both parties on half a heart, with the first to shoot their opponent being named the winner. With the terms set, the duel began.

The duel ended with Dream shooting Tommy and killing him.

Redemption and Independence[]

As Tommy discussed terms with Dream, Wilbur told Fundy that one day L’Manberg will be his, and asked for him to read the poem Ozymandias to him.

Tommy respawned, and, overcome with guilt, entered into a one-on-one negotiation with Dream. He pledged to give up both music discs, his most prized possessions, in exchange for independence. Dream agreed on the terms. So, with Tommy's one last sacrifice, the war was over, and although L'Manberg had lost, their original goal was reached, as they had won their independence from the Dream Team SMP server.

Aftermath[]

Independ(a)nce[]

Wilbur, overjoyed that Tommy had secured their independence, began writing the Decree of Independence as a formal end to the War, and to eliminate Eret, a traitor, from the official document of Independence.

He then made the remaining members of L’Manberg and the 5th Battalion sign, giving Tommy the title of “Treasury of State" (later Vice-President), Tubbo “Secretary of State”, and Fundy his “little champion”. The group made a pledge to rebuild the Camarvan and create a monument, and Wilbur declared himself President Soot of L’Manberg.

Welcoming New Citizens[]

After the war, Tommy welcomed Jack Manifold (Thunder1408) onto the server. Tommy attempted to recruit him for L'Manberg, but Dream donated large sums of money in an attempt to bribe him to join the Dream Team. Ultimately, he joined L'Manberg, at the request of Tommy and Tubbo. Because Dream kept pestering Jack after his decision, he was sent into the Dream Team SMP server as a double agent.

To celebrate his promotion as king of the Dream Team SMP server, Eret built a large tower, the tallest in the entire server. Tommy, Jack and Fundy all expressed their annoyance with the tower, as it blocked the view of the sunset from within L'Manberg's borders. Tommy dubbed it the "Great Penis", Jack called it "Cock Tower", noting its resemblance to a huge penis, and Fundy decided to "shrink" the tower, destroying the tower itself and building a far smaller replica in its place, tagging it with a sign saying "Size doesn't matter". Since this bit, Eret has rebuilt the tower in an even taller form.

Tommy joined forces with Jack and Tubbo to plot against Dream for revenge after the destruction of L'Manberg and its embassy, and to regain the music discs.
