The L'Manberg Presidential Debate took place on September 8th, 2020 to have both L'Manberg Presidential Candidates voice their opinions on ongoing issues and policies of L'Manberg, as a part of the SWAG2020 vs POG2020 Election.
Debate Summary[]
The debate started when both TommyInnit and GeorgeNotFound said they were ready to begin, however, [George or Quackity, someone pls confirm who] stated that Tubbo shouldn't have been wearing a L'Manberg shirt, as that was a sign of support for Tommy and Wilbur Soot. Fundy pushed Tubbo off of the podium, but Tommy said Fundy should have just gotten off, as he said he "made a mockery of [himself]" and he should go sit down.
In the beginning, Tommy stated that Quackity allowing members of the Dream Team SMP into L'Manberg would counter what L'Manberg was made for; freedom. He stated that he had gone through bombs blowing up, L'Manberg's land being destroyed, betrayal, and even the surrendering of his discs to give L'Manberg freedom, and that Quackity opening L'Manberg would destroy the thing that they went through for; freedom.
George countered Tommy's statements by saying that he was talking about freedom, but freedom did not seem to be what Tommy was endorsing; to George, opening up L'Manberg seemed free. George stated that Tommy's claims seemed racist, which Tommy claimed to be 'very harsh allegations'. Tommy stated that the reason he didn't want Dream SMP members in L'Manberg was that they 'mercilessly' blew up L'Manberg and killed the citizens, robbing them of their belongings. However, George claimed that Tommy, by stating that L'Manberg should be closed to Dream SMP members, was praising the war that had occurred to secure L'Manberg's freedom, and said that 'no one wins in war'. He went further to state that he was causing mayhem.
George said the people wanted peace in the server, and Tommy wasn't allowing it. Wilbur told Tommy to start repeating 'Shush, gogy', and Tommy did so as George approached him, continuing his claims. As George approached Tommy even more, Tommy hit George three times, and Quackity hit Tommy once.
After the fight was broken up, George then brought 'evidence to the table' that Tommy wasn't allowing peace, and stated the following: George: "What I hold right here- I am holding proof of payment from TommyInnit given to Karl, to wreak."
Karl (possibly): "OHHH- WHAT?"
George: "To wreak-"
Tommy: "No, that was actually- that-"
George: "Paid $2500."
Wilbur stated that it wasn't true, and Tommy responded with "uhhh... yes". George stated that it wasn't just 1 book, but 8 books of $2500. As BadBoyHalo entered, Tommy asked Karl to leave with him for a bit, and when they left, Tommy killed Karl, and collected the books, stating that the money was all back in his pocket.
Wilbur, after tons of shouting and arguing, requested a brief recess, to have a meeting with Tommy
George or Quackity agreed, saying that "the Vice President was effing up," and told Wilbur to "get him in order." Jack Manifold told Tommy to meet him inside a room with Wilbur. Tommy followed the orders and met Jack and Wilbur Soot inside the room.
Wilbur, Jack and Tommy entered a voice chat, and Wilbur stated that Tommy had made an attempt to bribe Karl into joining L'Manberg's side. Tommy stated it was successful, but then Tubbo came and showed that the checks were signed by Dream, so although Tommy had actually confessed to bribery, the checks were created and signed by Dream, meaning that George had lied. Despite proof that George lied, Wilbur continued to say that Tommy was 'jeopardizing the election'. Wilbur asked Tommy whether he would ever engage in bribery again, and Tommy responded with no. He then continued:
Wilbur: "Will you uphold the values and ideals of our nation?"
Tommy: "Yes."
Wilbur: "And are you going to [eff] up gogy?"
Tommy: "Yes!"
With that, they ended the recess.
