Sally the Salmon, or simply Sally, is Wilbur Soot's past wife and the mother of Fundy. She has never appeared in person on the Dream SMP, but Ghostbur has mentioned still having her and her bucket in his possession. Sally was named in "What I remember" by Ghostbur, and she seemed to be a happy memory for him.
While Sally has not been present in the main storyline of the Dream SMP, her divorce with Wilbur Soot may have contributed to the growing trust issues that led to Wilbur's corruption arc.
History[]
Fundy first introduced the idea of Sally to Tommy and Jack Manifold in early August of 2020.[1] Wilbur claims that she was a salmon, although in a conversation with Philza, he admitted he mostly does so for the laugh of it and to irritate everyone else. Other members of the SMP are indeed often agitated by the illogical nature of the equation of Human + Salmon = Fox. Most of the fans in the fandom are also very agitated by it.
Fundy has also claimed Sally to be a salmon in the past, although he does not adhere to the idea as much as Wilbur does. For example, Fundy has claimed that Sally was an accountant who collaborated with Albert Einstein, and also that Sally left when Fundy himself was nine years old. Neither of these anecdotes have been confirmed by Wilbur.
Phil tried to claim Sally was a shapeshifter on the 27th of November,[2] but the idea was shot down by Wilbur shortly after.
On the 16th of December, Wilbur claimed Sally's favorite color was brown. However, Fundy denied this.
On the 21st of December, a salmon that was assumed to be Sally by the twitch chat was killed by Tubbo on accident whilst exploring. It is unclear whether this was actually Sally, and Tubbo seemed unsure. It is most likely not the case as she is supposed to be in a bucket that Ghostbur has in his possession, but as Ghostbur is known to have memory issues, it cannot be fully deconfirmed.
On the 22nd of December, Puffy accidentally revealed that Sally might make an appearance soon in the SMP's storyline.
It is very possible that Wilbur ate Sally after having Fundy, as Ghostbur claimed that he had never seen a salmon that he didn't eat after his failed resurrection.
