Technoblade's Second Vault, also referred to as the Wither Vault, is a secret vault built inside a mountain near Technoblade's Cabin with a redstone entrance reminiscent of the one built in Awesamdude's Base. It was previously only known about by Technoblade, who had initially kept it from Philza to keep his promise to hold back the voices in his head.

It initially contained a total of 166 Wither Skulls, enough to spawn 55 withers, as well as some chests and an armor stand with a full backup netherite armor set. It was revealed for the first time on December 16th to Tommyinnit, whose first reaction was to scream in complete bewilderment. Techno then revealed the vault to Philza on December 22nd when he fled L'Manberg and broke his house arrest items.1 wither was used on January 4th in order for Techno to get some of his items he lost during his execution, which brought the count of wither skulls down to 163, able to spawn 54 withers. The next day, he revealed the vault to Dream, though Techno had removed all but 18 wither skulls to store in his ender chest, apparently in order to obscure the true quantity to Dream. After the Doomsday War, the remaining wither skulls count is 121 skulls, allowing Techno to spawn 40 more withers.

No one besides Techno, Tommy, Dream, and Philza are aware of its existence, most likely to keep it safe from those who might try to steal the assets inside and expose Techno's plan.

All the remaining wither skulls (121 in total) and the stone button are placed in Techno's ender chest for safe keeping.

Design[]

This secret base is made out of stone bricks similar variants to the interior of a stronghold, with basalt, shroomlight, and furnaces as flooring, and an interior covered wall to wall in Wither skulls, until they were removed for the Doomsday War.

The entrance is a 7x7 flying machine piston door built out of stone and dirt to camouflage the room. The slot for the door looks very suspicious, however Techno stated that the mountain side previously looked even more suspicious before he toned it down. The interior contains several chests filled mostly with bone blocks, bones, rotten flesh, random items, and soul sand, alongside a backup netherite set on an armor stand, an ender chest, a crafting table, blast furnaces, and 8 pieces of soul sand ready to be transformed into Withers.

The chests contain mostly waste items, such as blocks used to build the vault and mob drops. The vault contains an overabundance of bones and bone blocks as a result of Techno's mass slaughter of wither skeletons to get all the wither skulls. Techno used these bones to tame Max, the first member of his Hound Army.

Wither Usage[]

January 4th[]

On January 4th, Technoblade and Tommyinnit took 3 wither skulls[1] from the vault in order to spawn a wither inside of L'Manberg in a ploy to retrieve Techno's stolen items from Ranboo and Fundy and to get a nether star in order to build a beacon for his cabin. Techno and Tommy were able to retrieve both his Orphan Obliterator sword and his Axe of Peace alongside a nether star during the confrontation, as well as deal minor damage to L'Manberg. The operation cost 1 wither, bringing down the total withers inside the vault to 54 withers with 163 wither skulls remaining.

Doomsday War[]

On the day of the Doomsday War, Techno entrusted Ph1LzA with deploying some withers, saving some for himself. He told Phil to wait for a signal, him shooting his rocket launcher in the air, to begin spawning the withers. In total, 14 withers were deployed in the assault. The initial withers were spawned over the Bee Dome, while the rest were spawned around L'Manberg. The withers played a key role in distracting people, allowing Dream enough time to deploy his TNT dispensers above L'Manberg. The withers played a key role in dismantling the nation, killing several people and causing extensive structural damage. As a side effect, Phil managed to obtain 2 nether stars. At the end of the war, Techno and Phil realized that they still had a total of 121 wither skulls left, which meant that they could spawn 40 more withers.
