"There are five major kingdoms in the world: L'manberg, Las Nevadas, the Syndicate, Snowchester, and Kinoko. Each kingdom possesses its own qualities and powers, each having a certain role when fighting ghouls, or spirits from the dead, that exist like a parasite, an infection.

L'manberg, our kingdom, is filled with people who have brains and guts. They're able to think up strategies in an instant, and they can stay calm at the most extreme of times, but they don't possess enough power.

Las Nevadas has warriors, willing to fight. They work well with heavy swords or spears, and usually have a special power that helps them seem almost inhuman in terms of strength, but strength is the only thing keeping them in their glory.

The Syndicate is... mysterious. Nobody knows what their goals are, nor their level of power. They're said to be mercenaries at their best and serial killers at their worst. Rumors say that they don't have a heart and that they aren't really human, just monsters in disguise.

Snowchester has a mix of many different people, but they know how to survive in the wild and are typically quick and nimble. It's said that they don't have proper flooring, instead, their floors are stone and dirt, which is not true, obviously.

Lastly, the people of Kinoko are more comfortable with far range, and if classified in an RPG game, they'd be mostly archers and mages. They have more powers than the rest, but they don't have the power to face an opponent head-on.

These five kingdoms are the main kingdoms, with minor kingdoms and stray villages dotting the wilderness, as well. Minor kingdoms mostly consist of bandits, or people too poor to afford a residence in major kingdoms.

People from each kingdom form a five-man squad, to hunt down ghouls and keep them in control before they completely take over the human population. Each member of the group has a special power to help their team, and a role. You're role will be to act as a leader and strategist, like a guide.

Powers don't just appear randomly. Ususally, people's powers are passed down from parents or other genetics, but powers can also be harvested by capturing somebody's heart, and one can gain that power by eating the heart, which is really gross, but people do it, anyway. A person can have more than one power, but if you have too many powers, your body might explode, and you might get sick and vomit because you drank too much blood.

(lol i mean if you drink a lot of blood then you gotta die eventually, innit?)

Some people are not born with powers, though.

A ghoul usually is the outcome of somebody getting their power stolen. Ghouls lose their morality and humanity, becoming mindless killing machines, their only goal being to attack their thief, killing anybody along the way, as well, no matter how strong their bonds were. Ghouls can also appear if a dead person will to live is stronger than the defenses of the underworld, and they come back to the living as ghosts. But again, they'll have lost their morality unknowingly, becoming killing machines with no feelings or conciousness.

Lastly, ghouls can appear when-" The tutor trailed off from her lesson, her eyes shifting to the commotion outside. "I-I'm sorry," she stuttered, running off to take care of the little kids fighting in the yard outside the palace. Wilbur leaned back in his chair, sighing.

Classes are exhausting, but 'wonder what the last reason was, he thought.

Btw if you want to be a background character/villian/old dude that gives info in a littol hut or smth later in the fic pls give like name, role, pronouns, appearance, powers (will be explained later lol but like any powers like shoots fire or ice or like wings or smth)
