Some context needed to understand stuff:
They live in the SMP Islands where there are seven islands; fire, water, snow, life, death, air and earth. Each island has powers relating to that. Each island has now come together to form one, and are deciding who should rule.
Valks live on life island and have wings and stronger magical powers than every other island.
Also, this a vision in which Tommy is watching it. Yeah! The beginning might be a tad confusing but oh well! Here we go!!!
Also apologies if this is too long lol I tend to write lonnggggg things lmaoooo
“What? What do you mean? I thought-” Tommy started.
“You thought Skeppy and I loved each other, didn’t you? That he was my soulmate and we were bound together by eternal love, forming his diamond heart. You see, that’s where everyone’s wrong. They get so caught up in the idea of love and fairytales, they sometimes forget that a diamond heart can be formed out of friendship as well.” Bad answered solemnly. He opened the door to the cell gently and walked in. Tommy backed up in fear, only to be shocked when the demon sat down beside him.
“I’m going to tell you why Skeppy means the world to me, but in a friendship way, because that’s a thing that still exists, even to you puny Earthers. Oops, sorry. Still trying to be nicer.” Bad said. Tommy rolled his eyes, keeping his head on his knees while he faced the demon.
“This may be a bit of a shocker, but then again I haven’t really said this to anyone in years, not even Dream. But… I was once a Valk.”
“WHAT!?” Tommy shouted, standing up in surprise and backing away.
“It’s true. I lived on life island before the islands were combined. It’s why… I still have wings.” Bad said, standing up and unfurling what looked like wings similar to Za’s. They were bat-like, however, the bottom parts of the wings were torn and ripped. Tommy thought they must no longer work, since he had not once seen Badboyhalo fly.
“What… happened?” Tommy asked.
“I can’t tell you.” Bad replied.
“Huh? Then what’s the whole point of the grand reveal if you’re just going to NOT share the story?! Come on, people are waiting!!” Tommy argued.
“What people?” Bad questioned.
“Never mind.”
“What..? Oh whatever. What I WAS going to say before you rudely interrupted me… again… is that I can show you the story.”
“Wait wha-” Tommy tried saying before everything suddenly became black. He slowly opened his eyes, and found himself in a completely different place than he was before. Instead of a jail cell in the Badlands, he was standing in a large forest, filled with animals of every kind. He looked around in awe, and saw the demon standing a few feet away from him. “It’s so beautiful.”
“It really was, wasn’t it? I miss it with all my heart,” Bad said quietly, small tears forming in his eyes. A single black teardrop fell, landing on the ground, making the environment around them flicker like it was a hologram. “I’m so sorry. My tears are poison, and it’s interfering with my limited magic.” He wiped his tears away, and flinched in pain as his skin burned.
“I-is that why your skin is all… like that?” Tommy asked.
“No. I-” Bad was beginning to say something, when a young boy with short brown hair, white valk wings and a derpy grin on his face came running through the thick brush towards them. Before Tommy could move out of the way, the boy ran straight through him like a ghost. Tommy’s breath hitched at the memory of when he was at Za and Zi’s hut and found the magic door which led him to his parents, but was a phantom. He took a closer look at the boy and found that he wore big glasses that would constantly slip off his face. He also had hazel eyes, exactly like the ones similar to Darryl. The boy was wearing a long brown cloak that went past his arms and dragged on the grass behind him. He laughed and hid in the long grass.
“Halo! Where are you?” a female voice called. At hearing the name, realization hit Tommy like a truck.
“He… that’s you…” Tommy whispered. He turned to face Bad, who looked like he was trying his hardest not to cry. He didn’t respond, so Tommy took that as a yes. Instead of continuing talking to him, Tommy faced the little boy and watched the scene play out. Halo sat in the grass, trying to contain his laughter. Suddenly, a change in the breeze occurred, and a woman with long flowing blonde hair and white wings flew down onto the ground. Her wings transformed into a train attached to her dress. She laughed.
“Gee, I wonder where my little boy went?” The woman said, putting her hands to her hips. Then, she lifted her hands, and the grass magically lifted up into the air, revealing Halo. “There you are, my little angel!”
Halo then smiled and ran to the woman that Tommy assumed was his mother and hugged her.
“Mommy, why do we have to go to this meeting anyway?” Halo asked.
“Because, my sweet angel, today we decide who gets to be the king of the new Island.” his mother replied, stroking his brown hair softly.
“But why can’t we just stay here? They can decide on their owwwwwnnnn.” Halo groaned, bouncing up and down while he held his mother’s hand. His mother chuckled.
“Because we are one of the many important people. We should get a say in what happens to our future. Especially after everything that’s happened.” She replied, lifting him onto her shoulders.
“Okay fineeeee but promise me we’ll play hide and seek when we get back?” Halo asked, putting his chin against his mother’s head.
“Of course, my little angel.” she answered, slowly opening her wings again and taking off. Tommy turned to Bad, who looked away quickly. He snapped his fingers, and they were soon transported to a beach, where a large tent was built, and millions of people gathered to face a podium that stood at the top. By the podium was a long table, each housing what Tommy assumed was the seven rulers of the islands. He soon spotted Halo and his mother, who were away from the crowd but still close enough to hear things. From what Tommy could hear, the rulers were having a hard time getting the islanders to agree. He faced away and focused on Halo.
“Mommy I’m bored. Can we go play something?” the young boy asked, his wings flapping in dismay.
“I’m sorry. Why don’t you go play with the other children while I go help the others out?” His mom said, nudging Halo to a group of young children playing around with their special abilities. One girl with pale blue hair played with the water by the beach, making bubbles float in the air. Another Valk waved his hands and made the sand change colour around him. A young girl made it gently snow. A boy shapeshifted into a deer and chased around a few other boys who were flying. Halo sat down on a rock and watched sadly. Tommy then noticed a boy come up behind him and tackle him.
“BOO! Hello, what’s your name?!” the little boy asked. Halo screamed in response and fell off the rock.
“Why did you do that?” Halo asked, flapping the sand off his wings.
“Because it’s funny! Your face is all red! HA! Can I do that again but this time you scream even more?” the boy laughed.
“Absolutely not. Is that how you normally greet people?” Halo said.
“Well sort of. I don’t have any friends to greet, so I mainly greet strangers that way. I asked you what your name is, do you mind answeringggg?” the boy yelled flipping his head upside down.
“My name is Halo.” he replied, getting up slowly.
“That’s a silly name! HAHAHAHAHAHA! My name is Skeppy. Are you a Valk? I’ve always wanted to meet those! They’re supposedly one of the most powerful beings on the islands! What magical powers do you have?” Skeppy asked. Halo was baffled at the boy’s energy, so he chuckled.
“I’m not really used to my powers yet. The only thing I’ve gotten the hang of is flying. It’s one of the many things a Valk is supposed to know before they’re one hundred years old.” he replied, flapping his wings a little bit, as if to show off.
“That’s so cool! I’m a Glacial, though I don’t have any powers, which kind of makes me an outcast. But the fun part is making friends with islanders who aren’t!” Skeppy said.
“You… don’t have many friends?” Halo questioned.
“Well yeah… most people I become friends with end up leaving me because they find I do too many annoying tricks on them.” Skeppy answered with a halfhearted laugh.
“Do… you want to be friends?” Halo spoke.
“Would I ever! What do normal friends do?? Prank each other? Like pretend one of us is dead or… or hid your most prized possession!” Skeppy bounced up and down in glee.
“NO! Why would you ever think that?!” Halo shouted.
“I honestly don’t know. What would you recommend we do?” Skeppy asked.
“Want to play hide and seek?” Halo asked. Skeppy grinned.
“Yes!” he shouted. Together, the two of them laughed and played for quite some time. Tommy looked at Bad, who’s wings had drooped. He gave him a concerned look. Tommy was about to say something, but the demon snapped his fingers, and it seemed like time had fast forwarded, because the next time the boys were there, they were much, much older. Teenagers even. Halo was practicing his magic inside the room of his small hut. He levitated objects and placed them down gently, lifting his hands each time. One time he was so focused, he didn’t notice a small rock hit his window. The second time made his shoulders jump up in surprise then make the floating objects fall to the ground. Halo grinded his teeth, fixed his glasses and opened his window.
“Seriously Skeppy? Now? What the actual fudge?” Halo shouted to what appeared to be darkness, only for a much older Skeppy to step into the light.
“Aw Bad, come on, you know you secretly love our midnight strolls.” Skeppy teased. Halo did not look happy.
“No, I really don’t. And will you stop calling me Bad?! My name is Halo, you’ve known that for four hundred flipping years, and you STILL can’t get it right!” Halo complained.
“Just come down here, okay? I’ve got something special planned for tonight!” Skeppy said.
“Fine, but promise me it won’t be like last time where you made me jump into a pit of scorpions.” Halo replied, crossing his arms and flapping his wings in anger.
“You’re so gullible I can’t help it! But don’t worry, no harm will come to you. It’ll be special, I promise.” Skeppy promised, crossing his heart. Halo sighed and shut the window. He then came outside, meeting up with his friend. Skeppy eagerly took Halo’s hand, leading him to an open part of the forest. A beautiful podium stood in the middle of the opening, a beam of moonlight overtop it. On the podium was what looked to be a very old book. Halo gave a confused look.
“What is it?” he asked. He touched the gentle pages.
“It’s a spell book! I was doing some research, and apparently a magical spell book appears in one particular spot in the forests of the islands. Legend has it that the next great Valk can read from it and cure every disease in the realm! I thought since you’re extremely gifted at magic, why not take a shot?” Skeppy said excitedly. “What are you waiting for Bad? Magic the sh/t outta this place!”
“Skeppy, language. How many times must I warn you?” Halo warned. Skeppy just laughed it off. “I don’t believe this.”
“I know it’s so cool right?” Skeppy grinned.
“No, I mean I seriously don’t believe this. When was the last time the All knowing actually predicted anything accurately? And now you’re telling me there’s just a random book that any magical being can walk up to and become super powerful?” Halo said.
“What?” Skeppy’s face fell.
“I mean it. Let’s just go for our walk to take our mind off this.” he answered, stepping away from the podium.
“Wait… you’re just going to walk off as if this means nothing? You’re not even going to try? I worked so hard just to locate this piece of crap and you’re not being thankful at all! Jeez, maybe this is why I call you Bad all the time, because you’re such a little b/tch!” Skeppy shouted, crossing his arms.
“Look Skeppy I know this is hard for you-” Halo started.
“Hard for me?! F/cking hell Bad it’s been hard for me for five hundred years! I’m the only islander here that has no magical powers! How do you think that made me feel all these years?! Sure as a kid it was easy, but then once you start to get older and realize these things, it weighs on your back like a f/cking rock man! I have been caring for you despite being one of the most magical kind of islander of all, and the one chance I get to actually say I helped become who you are, you turn away!” Skeppy screamed, tears falling down like a waterfall. Halo stepped back in panic. “You know what Bad? Maybe I should just read this f/cking thing by myself! Maybe that way I discover I am magical and become even more powerful than you!”
Skeppy began opening the book, finding the first spell on the page.
“Skeppy no-” Halo tried to intervene, but Skeppy knocked him away.
“Upon the darkness, may he come. Sway your options and make your heart numb. Kill your soul and take your love.” he spoke, each word echoing over the last. Skeppy’s eyes immediately began glowing black. He was lifted into the air, and he started screaming. Halo covered his ears and he started crying. Skeppy’s skin turned completely black, like ash, as his screams grew louder. Halo cried out for his best friend, someone he cared about more than the universe. Hearing his best friend’s pain, he flipped through the book quickly. Once he found the right one, he began reading.
“Take pain away and give it to another. One person, unlike any other. Take the magic away and transfer it to the person who means the most.”
Suddenly, Skeppy was dropped to the ground, unconscious. His skin turned back to its normal colour. Halo then shrieked, crouching to the ground. Tommy watched in horror as Halo’s feathery Valk wings ripped and grew. The feathers disintegrated and transformed into the bat-like wings present Badboyhalo had. His skin immediately turned black, his eyes glowing a furious white as he faced the sky, his screams growing more demonic each minute. Horns grew out of his head. A tail poked out of his clothes. His hands grew hideous claws. His white robes melted into black ones. Watching the scene unfold was unlike anything Tommy had ever seen before. Though it was just a vision that Bad had made from his magic, Tommy could feel every ounce of pain coming from Halo’s body as he transformed into a demon. He could hear every scream like it was happening in real time. Once the transformation was done, Halo opened his new eyes and stumbled backwards, most likely realizing what he had just done. He looked at himself in horror and started panicking. Tommy could tell he was panicking because he was phasing in and out of the shadows, unable to control his new powers. He then stared at Skeppy, who was still unconscious. Halo shrieked and ran to him. He lifted his best friend up and moved his hair aside.
“Skeppy, please wake up.” he begged. Without knowing the consequences of his poison tears, he started crying and one landed on Skeppy’s cheek. It turned his skin partially black, then faded, as Bad’s skin started burning. Tommy looked with interest as he realized something. Anything that happened to Skeppy, Bad felt the pain. Because of the enchantment he spoke, Bad took Skeppy’s pain away and gave it to himself. Tommy turned to look at present Bad, but found that he wasn’t there, most likely too pained to see this horrible memory again. Skeppy then coughed and woke up to see demon Halo. he screamed, causing Halo to drop him and fall backwards.
“Who are you?! Where’s Halo? What happened?” Skeppy asked, panic in his voice. Hurt at the fact that his friend didn’t know who he was, Halo flinched. He then took a deep breath in.
“Skeppy… it’s me.” Halo said softly, it made Tommy question whether Skeppy had heard it.
“B-Bad? Why are you-? What the f/ck happened to you?!” Skeppy said.
“After you got all mad, you…read a spell from the spell book. It must have been a darkness spell because you started screaming and your skin turned black. I wasn’t sure you were going to make it out alive and I couldn’t stand to watch you suffer. At that moment, I had no time to react and I-” Halo choked back a sob because he knew what would happen if he let tears fall.
“You…took the spell away from me and onto you…” Skeppy finished for him. “Oh Bad…”
“I’m sorry for not respecting you enough and being annoyed at your pranks. I’m sorry I haven’t been the best friend I could have been.” Halo said gently, starting to walk away.
“Bad… is there a cure?” Skeppy asked.
“I’m sorry for causing you pain all these years and I hope you-”
“HALO! IS THERE A CURE?!” Skeppy asked in such a frightened tone it took Halo by surprise. Skeppy took his best friend’s new black clawed hand and looked him in the eyes while tears formed in his own. “Is there a cure?”
“No.”
