Trigger Warning: Manipulation, Mentions of Violence, Mentions of Death
Techno paced back and forth. Over and over again. Hands running through his hair. Voices screaming in his head. “Kill,” They demanded. “Blood for the Blood God!” They shouted. It was all he could hear. Everything around him was silent. It was just the voices.
He took himself to a large pirate ship. He hated this ship. The ocean crashed against the sides. The old wood creaked as it shook. It still wouldn’t block out the voices. Nothing blocked out the voices. They shoved every sound away so that Techno would hear them, and only them.
Techno despised Khinzarb for it. He was probably the first piglin to ever hate him. The first piglin to not follow his orders word for word. The first piglin to fight against him, and his own brothers during battle. He deserved this punishment, but it didn’t make him hate Khinzarb any less. Just as a prisoner hates his warden, and the voices were the prison guards.
He had to get out of here. How? He wasn’t sure. He’d heard stories during his travels with Eryn. He wasn’t sure if they were true. Some said they weren’t, and some would swear their lives on it. It’d be dangerous if he could manage it. They supposedly release enough power that the gods can see. If Tajiyaab notices, then she would surely tell Almab. That’s why only those who care a lot leave. Whether it’s for a loved one, or for revenge. Techno cares about his sanity.
He’d have to focus, if it’s only for a moment. But it was impossible to focus. They wouldn’t allow that. It was against the rules. If I focused, if I thought, then I might not kill, and if I don’t kill, then the voices won’t be satisfied, but he’d have to try. Even if it took a million years, even if it’s only for half a second, he would get the voices to shut up, and he would be free.
What would he do when he escaped? Find Ponk, perhaps. No, Ponk would be dead. He can’t help him. There was Wilbur. Philza mentioned that he was in the Overworld. He would want to attack him, though. Even if he couldn’t harm him, he wouldn’t be able to stand it. The only other person he knew was Eryn. Eryn would be dead by now. Unless he was a demon, that is. It’s not that improbable. He’s a fighter, and he helped Wilbur and Tommy, making him a likely candidate. But would he accept? It was worth a shot to go and look for him. If he couldn’t find his way, then he was dead. Somewhere in the Underworld. What if he was a demon in the Underworld? He wouldn’t be able to find him if that’s the case. It was still worth a shot. It was all he had. Now all he had to do was wait, and try to focus.
It was quiet without Fundy. He was always carrying the conversations. He was always playing the guitar. He was always doing something. Tubbo, Eryn, and Ranboo sat silently in the living room. Their movie had just ended. The Lion King. Classic. They all enjoyed themselves, but Fundy usually had something to say. Complain about a character. State an unnecessary plot point. Go on about the inaccuracy of the movie. It was always something. It was usually annoying, but now they missed it.
Eryn and Tubbo had discussed going back to the Underworld. Eryn was careful about his kills, so they killed few. There was no point in them staying there. They decided that they couldn’t leave Ranboo, though. Fundy would have to wait. They might be able to visit him soon, but Kristen disliked demons frequently switching between the Overworld and Underworld. They likely wouldn’t be able to too often. Time also ran weird in the Underworld and they might stay longer than they mean to. Lots of things prevented them from seeing him. It was fine, though. They had all the time in the world to visit him. They were demons.
Eryn looked over at Tubbo and Ranboo on the couch, “So what do you wanna do now?” All of the sudden the lights started to flicker till eventually the power completely went out. “I’ll check the breaker,” Eryn mumbled as he stood up, but he stopped as a transparent figure began to materialize in front of them.
Everything hurt, which only made the voices worse. They begged him to stop, but he ignored them. He had to. He heard distorted voices. He couldn’t understand what they were saying. Everything was dark. He soon was able to make out blurred images. He tried to talk, but nothing came out. It was working.
“⊑⟒'⌇ ⟟⋏ ⌿⏃⟟⋏.” “What’s wrong with him? What is he?” Tubbo asked, his voice quivering slightly. “Techno! Can you hear us?” Eryn raised his voice. The distorted image of Techno slowly turned to face Eryn. “Can you hear us?” He repeated. “Shots,” Techno mumbled. His voice had a slight echo and was seemingly staticy. “You two need to leave for a moment. I’ll come back for you later,” Eryn commanded. “What? Why?” Tubbo questioned. “I’m not sure yet. Go.” Ranboo nodded and walked into one of the bedrooms while Tubbo reluctantly followed.
Techno’s form was slowly materializing even more till eventually he looked just like himself, just transparent. “Can you talk now?” Eryn queeried. “I think so.” His voice was still staticy and the echo remained as well, but it was easier to understand. “Who were the other two people?” He asked. “Tubbo and Ranboo,” Eryn responded cautiously. “They’re demons?” “Ranboo just never died.” “Your body is still young. How did you die?” Techno asked, looking Eryn up and down now that his vision had mostly cleared. “I got arrested back at the lab. Most of the soldiers went through the Nether portal after Tommy and Wilbur, but they never came out. They had two soldiers watching me, and they were only in this for the money. They sold me into slavery to some guy. As you can imagine, I was a bit defiant. I didn’t really care about the consequences. I ended up getting whipped to death. Didn’t feel great. You're a ghost, right?” “Yes. I couldn’t stay in the Underworld any longer. It’s not much better here, but I need to talk to somebody. You seemed like the best option if you’d become a demon.” “What’s wrong? Is it the voices?” Eryn touched Techno’s arm with curiosity. His hand passed right through. Techno explained what Khinzarb had done to him, and how miserable he’s been since he’s been in the Underworld. He told him about how Phil and Almab insist that he become a demon. He talked about the voices, and how they wouldn’t shut up. How they never stopped craving violence. How they never stopped craving death. How desperate they were to have Techno kill Eryn right then and there, despite him only being a ghost.
“And you can’t become a demon because..?” Eryn questioned. “Because then I’d be able to attack. I’d kill anyone I could. Philza insists that he’ll find a cure, but I doubt it,” Techno explained. “Could there be a cure?” “I don’t think so. This was done to me by a god. If Ponk were still alive then maybe I’d ask him to try something, but he’s not, and there is no way he would get the option to become a demon. The man was a coward.” “So you’re here just so you can talk to me?” Eryn asked. Techno nodded. Eryn paused to think for a moment. “Do you want to watch Doctor Who?” Techno’s serious face changed to confusion, “Do I want to what?”
Technoblade never dies even when he does. That makes sense. I hope you enjoyed part 32! If you have any questions or want to be pinged tell me in the comments!
