Chapter 10: Fate is a bitch.
Kirai had never been to the mortal realm for a long time. In fact, he’s never stepped foot out of Celestia in over a century. So, when Kristin asked him to help Len and the others, he was quick to accept. However, He was unsure of his mortal form. Despite him looking not a day older than 20, he wanted to look younger than he already was. So, he chose an even younger age… unfortunately, he chose the age of 15. But that never slowed him down.
When he stepped foot into the mortal realm, his white hair fell over his eyes slightly. He glances around at the trees, sky and grass. It was dark of course, but it didn’t matter.
“Now, where are these fellow gods of mine?” He mutters to himself as he walks forward, his red and black robe trailing in the wind behind him. As he walked, it became clear to those he passed that this man (Well technically boy, if you were to look at him in the moment) was one that shouldn’t be messed with. Perhaps it was because of his white hair and bright pink eyes, or perhaps the clothing he wore, with golden crosses and red trims. Maybe even the way he looked like royalty. Either way, everywhere Kirai travelled, eyes followed. That was until he reached a hill. The hill seemed to have held one singular house before, but based on the grounds around it, the house has been expanded more than once. Kirai smiled.
“Ah, Seems like I’ve found the place.” He chuckles, amused by the sight, “Now to see my dearest Hikari~”
As he stepped foot on the hill, a chill can be sent through his spine. Any other person would feel a sense of dread. Kirai wasn’t like any other person, no. He was… Kirai. He turned around and is now face to face with a man he hasn’t seen in a long time. The man had black hair and dark blue eyes. Both he and Kirai looked like complete opposites.
“Ah, my, my!” Kirai grinned slyly, “If it isn’t the god of destruction!”
“Kirai. I see you’ve finally decided to touch the grass.” The god replied, “Was Celestia getting too boring for you?”
“Oh of course not.” Kirai smirks, “I’m here for business. But I can tell that you’ve been up to no good. Who have you been messing around with this time, Alberion?”
Alberion chuckles and claps slowly.“Bravo, you found me out so quickly.” He glares at Kirai, “Of course, it’s all thanks to those “Angel eyes” of yours…”
“Bahahah! Oh my, you are always fun to talk to, Alberion.” Kirai laughs coldly, “My Angelus Oculos is indeed a helpful skill!”
The dark-haired god lets out an audible “tsk” before disappearing from sight. Kirai smirks in satisfaction, his attention returning to the house on the hill.
“Now, Where are these fellow gods of mine?” He hums as he starts to make his way to the door.

A simple knock was all Hikari needed to hear before he groaned.
“Not him… Anyone but him..” He muttered, “Don’t open the door. You’ll doom us all.”
Avalon was confused about what Hikari meant, and she opened the door nonetheless. Before she stood a teenage boy with white hair and bright pink eyes. He wore a rather royal-like attire, with black and red as the main colours. She could clearly see the golden crosses embedded into the shoulder of his robe. The boy seemed at least 15 years of age.
“Do I know you..?” Avalon says, looking down at the boy. Hikari holds back a sigh.
“Kirai… what are you doing here?” Hikari looks at the boy, a frown on his lips.
“Heh! Hikari! You look so pissed like the last time we met!” Kirai grins, “Is that really how you greet an old friend?”
Len looks up from his hand and frowns at Kirai also.
“Out of all forms..? You choose a 15-year-old boy?” He seems to almost be disapproving, “We better not be here to talk about your stupid stories.”
“My stories aren’t stupid.” Kirai scoffs, “Besides I could tell you about one I enjoyed… I would love to see your faces after this one.”
“What is it?” Avalon says, allowing Kirai to enter the house.
“Ah, You know how you killed XD right?” Kirai has a sadistic grin on his face, “Let’s say in my story, it didn’t go so smoothly.”
“What do you mean?” Avalon says, looking at Kirai with a sceptical look.
“Well… you killed Techno.” Kirai laughs coldly, “You killed him! And you were too scared to face it… so you ran.”
“Stop.” Avalon’s eyes widen, It appears Kirai’s words were too much for her.
“Oh, but you ran for a decade, too shameful to face the truth, too cowardly. You were a foolish, weak god.” Kirai’s sadistic smile grows larger, “And I loved it. I loved writing it. I loved the look on your face the pain… And I love it now. Your pain… is my enjoyment!”
Avalon is left speechless, but Len was able to shake her out of it.
“Avalon. It’s not real. What he said was a stupid story, a fate that didn’t happen.” Len reassures her.
“But it did happen. And It could’ve happened..” Kirai doesn’t stop terrorising the woman. “You’re just lucky it didn’t happen in this universe. I’m disappointed it didn’t happen… But I enjoyed the pain.”
“Kirai, shut up.” Len glares at the white-haired male.
“Aw, but Len, I hated the ending you and Tenshi had all those years ago. But then again… I loved the outcome of it - All the pain, anger and hatred!” Kirai’s smile grows, “And the children. My oh my, the children. I loved the ending they faced. Ari, Darkness, Ayla, Luna, Violet. I loved watching them die. The pain on their faces, the pain on your faces. It’s all so enjoyable!”
“Kirai, you sadistic bitch.” Hikari sighs, approaching the boy.
“Hehe, Call me sadistic all you want, It was enjoyable to see you suffer-”
There’s a loud thud and Kirai is on the floor, Avalon points her sword at his throat.
“Shut up, Shut up!” She screams, pure hatred in her eyes.
Kirai just smirks.
To keep from showing what’s “beneath the mask”, I’ll settle it far away from her [ Phantom pain - Royal Scandal ]
