Quackity watched time pass by on the big clock on the clocktower of the courthouse. He was trying not to think about the reason he was here today, in the courthouse of Woodvale county, the small town which the New Romantics Association had built on the outskirts of the Dream SMP. He was alone, his opponents had not yet arrived, and he was happy about it. The later, the better, he thought, fixing his tie. He was not planning on getting beaten up today. After what felt like ages to him, the door of the courtroom opened and Rep, the judge, peeked her head out. „Hello, sir. Your opponent has not yet arrived. You can come in and take your seat“, she said, smiling at him and he followed her inside. When the clock struck twelve, Sapnap walked in. Quackity shifted to the edge of his seat at the sight of his fiancé, who, today was his opponent. Once he had taken a seat, judge Rep took up the word. „Sapnap, you are here to represent yourself as well a Mr. Karl Jacobs, correct?“, she asked. Sapnap nodded. „Correct, you honor“, he said, glaring at Quackity. „We will not reiterate the reasons for this divorce today, as we have discussed them in previous seatings and have come to the conclusion that neither of the opponents is alone at fault for „ruining this marriage“. All that is sleft to do now is sign the final divorce papers and then you‘re free to go“, she said, passing each of them a paper to sign. Once they were done, they gave the judge their signed papers and left the courtroom.
„I still don‘t understand why you did this“, Sapnap said to him as they left the building. Quackity ignored him and buttoned up his coat, slowly walking away. Sapnap followed him, grabbed the collar of his coat and pulled him around to face him. „Don‘t ignore me“, he said, aggressively. „What does it matter? I wasn‘t the one who did the wrong thing!“, Quackity said, staring Sapnap in the eyes. „You fucking cheated on us!“, Sapnap spat out. „You haven‘t talked to me in months! Karl doesn‘t even remember me as his fiancé. As far as I‘m concerned, we were already broken up and I‘m free to move on as fast as I desire“, Quackity said, breaking free from Sapnaps grasp and quickly walking off.
„Hey dad, how was it?“, was the first thing Quinn said when she walked through the door of their apartment that night. The apartment was located at the very top of the Las Nevadas Hotel, overlooking the whole land. Quackity was standing at the stove, struggling to keep track of the recipe he was trying to cook. „It was…fine. Don‘t worry about me, dear“, he said. „You dont sound like it was fine“, Quinn said, dropping her jacket on the floor and sitting on a kitchen counter. „They still blame me for all of the problems in our relationship. All of it.“, he said, angrily stirring around in the potatoes.
About six months ago, Quackity was caught in his office with Eros, one of the dancers of the Las Nevadas Casino Show. Sanna, the person who caught him and Sapnaps daughter, of course immediately let her father know and Sapnap payed an angry visit to him the next morning, almost costing Quackity his second life. The next day, they immediately scheduled their divorce appointment and Quackity proceeded to avoid Eros for the next months. He hadn‘t talked to her since then, he was to afraid that she didn‘t want to be with him anymore after all of this.
