The Egg virus had quickly grown all over, but the farther it went from its place of origin, the weaker its effects were. The survivors realized this and quickly hid out near Techno’s place, where the virus was very unlikely to reach.
Eryn, who had been searching the lands to find Tommy, had no luck, and instead decided to take shelter within Techno and Phil’s Base.
After some time, it had been decided, as much as a poor decision it was, to also search Pandora’s Vault to see if Dream had survived. When they had drained out all the lava, they were surprised to find out that he had, indeed, survived.
They reluctantly brought him to Base, under the condition that he refrained from killing anyone. Tommy had already died, so Dream didn’t have much reason to kill anyone anymore, even with Ranboo, who he had a lot of arguments with.
The story begins when Dream has the sudden impulse to bring back Schlatt. Everyone else pretty much disliked Schlatt, and were against this idea. The only ones who weren’t were Foolish, Ranboo, and Eryn, however, this was only due to the fact they didn’t know Schlatt. Despite everyone saying Dream shouldn’t bring back Schlatt, he did anyways. The reason why he wanted to do this is unexplained.
