Ok so I'm not really sure if this classifies as a theory or a headcanon so...
TW FOR MEMORY LOSS/BURNING
When the endermen come from the End into the overworld, their memory is completely erased by water as a type of punishment from the king. When Ranboo came to the overworld, he had no memory whatsoever. He could only remember his name. When the time came, and he had to travel across the water, he stepped in the water, and then flashed back onto land. When he stepped, he remembered fragments of his past. My theory is that endermen (or half endermen in ranboo's case) are scared of water because it brings back painful memories.
My goal in life is to go back in time to not be a coward and talk to all the people wearing dream merch in target (It has happened like 5 times in total, yes, I am a coward)
Also to talk to the technoblade cosplayer at the renaissance fair (I was in wilbur cosplay)
