Yes I've settled on that title. Also if this chapter is a wee bit choppy I do apologize, but I promise there is reason behind it. It is also a slightly longer chapter than I normally do but the more story you get I'm sure it's worth it

I scrunch into myself, staring at Schlatt's horns (the alternative to looking at his eyes). He chuckles before turning to Amelia.
"Amelia, I'm so glad you found him."
She looked down to her feet, a quick nod but nothing else.
My tail flicks and my eyes squint. Was this planned? I thought. Did Amelia know who I was?
"Tomorrow, we should take care of this. Don't you think?" Schlatt asks Amelia, clearly amused by her depressed body language.
She stands there almost frozen, but turns towards me after a short moment. Her facial expression seemed to change. Almost like a masked numb face.
"I think it will be plenty of time to prepare, yes."
"Good. I'm off, Amelia. Don't do anything I wouldn't do."
She nods, and turns to see him walk out and shut the door. Turning back to face me, it's almost like that numbed mask from before fell off. Her face is a mix of gratitude that he is gone, and sadness.
I tilt my head and she looks off to the wall.
"Have you ever heard someone play violin?"
I shake my head, croaking out a no, and cock my head to the side.
"Do you want to?"
Without another word she grabs her violin, and looks to me almost waiting for a yes.
I nod my head, and she readies her bow, movin it and producing sound.
It sounded depressing and I got lost within the beautiful decaying vibe of the song.
She whispers once she's done, "Did you like that?" I nod my head. "It's going to be special for your end… I just wanted to let you know.."
I nod, smiling a little sadly before motioning her to come closer. She does, and I croak a whisper out. "You good? Bad?"
"Are you asking if I'm a good or bad guy?"
I nod.
"Well, to answer that.. My father puts a lot of expectations on me to be like him. I don't really want to though. People see him as a bad guy, and if he wants me to be like him, then I'll be the bad guy too."
I nod slowly. Whispering, I manage, "You don't have to be like him. I believe you can do some pretty great things."
Amelia turns her head to left and looks off into the distance. "Mhm… " is all I hear, but it doesn't seem like she paid much attention.
"Amelia, you do not have to be like your father-"
"It's not my choice."
She cuts me off, tears welling in her eyes but never dropping.
"Why isn't it?"
"He'll kill me, Rain."
I look down, frustrated, then look back to her.
"Then let me help you? We can both get out of this alive, you know."
"He would find out! He has spies everywhere.."
I look out the small window to the sky, before forming an idea.
"It may not be the best, since I still need more time with it but," I pause to look at her, "we could fly?"
