The Battle of September 23 was a set of skirmishes between Manberg and Pogtopia over the burning of the L'Manberg/Manberg flag, and served as the first direct engagement between the two factions.
History[]
On September 23, Fundy began rebuilding the flag in new colors to show his loyalty to Schlatt. Nihachu attempted to stop him, but Fundy made it clear she stood no chance against him. After getting back to the surface, Niki then resorted to burning the flag pole down, though Fundy mostly managed to put the initial fire out.
Wilbur and Technoblade invited Tubbo to join them in Pogtopia to hang out and help out around the new commune. Schlatt soon joined the call and began asking Tubbo questions about where he'd been, and to come back to Manberg to assist him. Schlatt also revealed more plans to take down various builds from the original L'Manbergian land, to Wilbur's dismay.
Later on, Schlatt would ask Tubbo where Niki lives so that he could collect taxes, resulting in Wilbur going on a mission to help her with Techno. By the time they both got to Manberg, Schlatt had collected the taxes, and Wilbur managed to contact her, and tell her to lay low as he didn't have the resources to bring more people into Pogtopia quite yet. Wilbur then ordered Techno to shoot Fundy, after seeing that he was remaking the flag, this time with a purple design. Techno fired at Fundy, but missed. Schlatt then nearly discovered that Techno was there, so Wilbur and Techno retreated towards Pogtopia.
Eventually, Tommy logged on to find the original L'Manberg flag half-burned, and undergoing changes by Fundy's hand. He aggressively threatened to burn the flag down, and managed to make a good distraction for the escape of Wilbur and Techno. Tommy would make it up to the flag to begin burning it down, before Fundy got to him and forced him off the flag.
ItsAlyssa would also make her way to Manberg's city center, where she found Schlatt, Quackity, Fundy, and Punz. She was then killed by Punz for hitting him a few times, as well as getting all her things taken by Schlatt and Quackity. Niki later burned down the flag pole to finish off the already burning flag, before getting shot by Punz for her actions.
Aftermath[]
The second burning of the flag led Schlatt to order a new flag to be made in obsidian in order to keep it from getting burned down, with Fundy being ordered to mine for obsidian to build up the new Manberg flag.
