Edward is one of the many pets owned by Technoblade, though Technoblade often refers to Edward as his roommate rather than as his pet. Edward resided in Technoblade's Cabin before his accidental death by a pet dog. He was reincarnated over half a year later and now lives in Techno's cabin again.
Appearance[]
Before his death, Edward was seen in a wooden boat holding a grass block at all times.[1] Since his reincarnation, he holds a dirt block instead of a grass block.[2] Standing at 3 blocks tall, he is the tallest among all of Technoblade's pets.
Personality[]
Edward, similar to other Enderman, becomes enraged when people looked at him. He stays angry for a long time, and as Ghostbur described, he "vibrates" while angry.[3] Other than that, he is very passive, even to others visiting Technoblade's cabin. After his reincarnation and before being trapped in a boat again, he liked to spin on the trap doors in the corner of Techno's cabin.[4]
History[]
Edward was first seen on December 9, 2020, as a regular enderman who had teleported into Techno's house. After leaving and coming back to find the enderman still there, Techno put him in a boat and used a name tag to name him "Edward". Philza came up with the name.[5]
Edward has been victim to multiple accidental potion splashes, with one in particular being Tommy's invisibility potion accident. Tommy was taking refuge in Techno's house after escaping from his exile location. When Dream announced he would visit Techno, Tommy panicked and tried to find a way to hide from him.[6]
Tommy splashed an invisiblity potion on the ceiling of the cabin, giving Techno the invisibility effect instead of himself. Techno then threw an invisibility potion on Tommy, which made Edward invisible too. This made Technoblade panic as well, as it would be hard to explain if there was a floating grass block and an invisible enderman. The invisibility effect wore off from Edward before Dream's arrival, which led to Technoblade introducing Edward as a "visible enderman", alluding to his invisibility just a few moments before.[7]
Edward was also a boatmate of Em, one of Techno's dogs who moved into the boat on December 22, 2020.[8]
Death[]
On January 14, 2021, Edward was accidentally killed by a member of Technoblade's Hound Army. After one of Techno's dogs died due to an unknown reason, Techno went to investigate the fireplace in his house. He got too close to Edward, who then hit Techno. This caused Techno's dogs to attack and kill Edward.[9]
When a llama entered Techno's house soon after, Techno named it Jacob and stated that it was the new Edward.[10] Edward's seat in the boat was quickly taken by a dog called Shield_Of_Hope.[11]
Ranboo said that he liked to talk with Edward before he died.[12]
Reincarnation[]
On September 14, 2021, after escaping from Pandora's Vault, Techno found an enderman in his house that he thought might be Edward reincarnated. Techno put down a boat near the former fireplace, and said that the enderman was Edward if it willingly went into the boat. When the enderman did so, Techno proclaimed him to be Edward and had Phil use a name tag on him with his name.[13]
