Kye,[1] better known online as IlluminaHD, Illumina1337, or simply Illumina, is a popular Minecraft YouTuber, most known for his skill in speedrunning.

Fruit liking Tweet about the Situation on Illumina
On October 22, 2023, a streamer and fellow speedrunner by the name of stellaeperditae posted a tweet[4] discussing how she was sexually assaulted at TwitchCon that same year; in a quote of the original tweet, she further elaborated that Illumina was the party who she was accusing.[5] Illumina posted a (now deleted) response the following day,[6] where he claimed that these accusations were false and/or exaggerated due to Stellae's mental health issues and that other friends of his have expressed similar issues with her in particular, as well as announcing a hiatus from content production. On November 27, 2023, Stellae posted another tweet,[7] including screenshots from Discord in which Illumina had made a rape joke toward her on November 9 over a photo taken from the night of the alleged assault. Illumina responded on December 15, 2023, in an unlisted (now deleted) video uploaded to his YouTube channel, in which he deflected, but admitted that the events described by Stellae did, in fact, occur.[8] There is a reuploaded version available.[9] Later, he posted a tweet and a Google document confirming that he was leaving the Minecraft scene, as well as deleting all of his social media accounts.[10] Consequently, his records in the MCC practice server have been removed and making him one of a few MCC players to be banned. Meanwhile, his roommate, Fruitberries, has not mentioned anything about Illumina or the sexual assault allegations. Fruit did like Tweets on Twitter of not mentioning Illumina, support stellaeperditae, and dealing with it privately. Fruit was still roommates with him due to apartment contract until July of 2024, and leaving after that. As a result, Dream privated the Minecraft Speedrunner VS PRO video.

- Illumina is bisexual. He came out in his Discord server on October 3, 2020.[11]
- Illumina previously held the world record for the fastest "Any% Glitchless" completion of Minecraft Java Edition (set seed), with his time being 4:56.7. This accomplishment was achieved on March 11, 2020.[12] He was featured in the Minecraft Speedrunning Section of the 2021 Guinness Book of World Records for this world record.[13]
- Illumina previously held the world record for the "Any% All Advancements 1.16 RSG" run in the "Minecraft Java Edition Category Extension" category.[14]
- Illumina is the first person to get world records in all three major RSG categories (Pre 1.9, 1.9-1.15, 1.16+).[15]
- When asked, Dream said that Illumina is "maybe the best Minecraft player," citing Illumina's quick thought process and overall skill in movement and speed.[16]
