L'Cast

The L'Cast is a podcast gameshow hosted irregularly on Sundays by HBomb. Each episode, HBomb will bring two members to fish in the L'Cast Lake and ask questions to get to know the members of the SMP. These questions can be both personal and SMP-related, sourced from both HBomb and chat. The contestants don't always answer every question, and the questions don't need to be answered truthfully.

At the end of the episode, HBomb sets up a poll to ask the chat who answered the questions the best. The winner gets to either keep everything the three of them fished up during the show or choose a mystery box. If one of the contestants fish up a Mending Book, they will be given a Pigstep Disc.

The surrounding area where the L'Cast is held was built by HBomb, and is decorated with sand, sea life, and coral. It was also lit up with lanterns, and during episode 3, it was discovered that the reason mobs had been spawning was due to a tunnel dug near the lake.

Episode 1: Niki vs Wilbur[]

The first episode of L'Cast was streamed on HBomb's channel on December 6, 2020, with Wilbur and Niki. An edited version was uploaded onto HBomb's Youtube channel on December 12, 2020. By chat-vote, Niki narrowly won over Wilbur.

Notable Moments[]

When Wilbur is dumping his inventory into the chest that HBomb directed him to, HBomb peeked and saw two enchanted compasses, which Wilbur had called "spoilers". These were later revealed to be Your Tommy and Your Tubbo.
Wilbur stole Stal, while it's location is unknown, it's presumed stolen as it was gone from HBomb's enderchest and Wilbur happened to get it when he lost it.
Niki chose the loot chest, while Wilbur was given the mystery chest.

Episode 2: Fundy vs Ranboo[]

The second episode of L'Cast was streamed on HBomb's channel on December 13, 2020, with Ranboo and Fundy. An edited version was uploaded onto HBomb's channel on December 19, 2020. At the end, Fundy and Ranboo were given 3 trivia questions, and while Fundy initially won, Ranboo was declared the winner after Fundy threw the competition.

Notable Moments[]

The L'Cast episode started late due to them messing around with a boat glitch that Fundy was playing with.

HBomb initially forgot the mystery box prize for the episode, forcing him to listen to chat for recommendations. The chat decided on an iron ingot named "you get a maid for 1 hour", named after HBomb's bit of being Fundy's maid.

At the start of round, Fundy and Ranboo started breaking the lilypads in the pond with their boats.

HBomb asks the two about their careers:
- Ranboo stated that he usually did Minecraft content and irl videos.
- Fundy stated that he is a coder. In response to Fundy talking about his loneliness, Ranboo jokingly stated: "L'Cast: Who knew fishing could be so sad."

HBomb also asked how they had gotten into the SMP:
- Ranboo stated that his active fanbase had played a big role helping him get onto the SMP. He stated that at the end of one of Punz's streams, a few of his fans were asking Punz to raid him. He also made a Tik Tok joking about reasons why he should join the SMP, with Dream ending up commenting on it. Ranboo also mentioned that his fans have also been media-sharing his video of him spinning in a chair, which was his most viral video.

The Titanic is HBomb's original boat from the beginning of the episode, and Fundy sunk it to the bottom of the pond while HBomb was distracted. Later on, when HBomb took Fundy's boat, Fundy made The Titanic rise back up and took that instead.

Ranboo chose the mystery box, which contained the piece of iron named "you get a maid for 1 hour" surrounded by stacks of baked potatoes. Ranboo decided to save the iron for a stream with Fundy in the future.

Ranboo cashed in the prize on December 27, 2020, while he was making festival games, citing that he was bored and wanted to give Fundy free content.

Episode 3: Antfrost vs Punz[]

The third episode of L'Cast was streamed on HBomb's channel on December 20th with Punz and Antfrost. An edited version was uploaded onto HBomb's channel on December 31, 2020. Punz won the episode, winning the chat vote after answering five Would You Rather questions.

Notable Moments[]

Both Ant and Punz were slightly hungover, as they had been drinking the night before.
HBomb asked how they met the people on the SMP :
- Punz had first intiatily met BadBoyHalo in MCPVP, a now defunct Minecraft Server. He dropped off playing Minecraft, when Fortnite came out, becoming an competitive player. A few years later, he joined MunchyMC's teamspeak, and Dream who was also in the TeamSpeak, pointed out to Bad that his old friend had joined the teamspeak. He became friends with everyone from there.
- Antfrost also became friends with them through MunchyMC as he's an admin of the server.
HBomb asked Antfrost about Minecraft Manhunt, asking him about plans for future Manhunts.
- He mentioned being a little salty that Antfrost had gotten 100,000 subs with no videos.
- Antfrost confirmed he does have a video in the works.
During this time period, a turtle had died after ramming into the jukebox. HBomb mentioned he didn't like his animals dying after witnessing the death.
HBomb asked Punz about MCC :
- They discussed aspects on the game such as the possibility of gaining 3k coins and how the mini-game Hole in the Wall is broken.
All three of them discussed the scattered locations of the SMP, HBomb mentioning that everyone was scattered across the states as well as Europe.
All three of them talked about the stress of streaming and face-cams, mentioning being self-conscious about what they looked like and playing games but not streaming at the same time.

Winner[]

Punz won the episode with an extremely close margin of seven votes and chose the mystery box. The box contained a disc, 28 smooth quartz blocks, a heart of the sea, a jukebox, and 2 enchanted books.

Episode 4 : Awesamdude vs Ponk[]

The fourth episode of L'Cast was streamed on HBomb's channel on January 10th with Awesamdude & Ponk. An edited version was uploaded onto HBomb's channel, on January 16, 2021. Awesamdude narrowly won the episode by chat vote after answering five Would You Rather questions.

Notable Moments[]

Sam woke up about 20 minutes before L'Cast, making his voice deep for most of the show.
They introduced themselves, giving short introductions about themselves.
- Ponk and Sam mentioned that they both met through Bad's server, MunchyMC. Ponk said he knew Bad for about 9 years, and Sam said he coded for Bad's server.
HBomb asked how they got onto the server :
- Sam said that he got onto the server because he had been in voice-chat with George the morning before one of his first SMP streams, and said it would be fun for him to join. However he didn't really play due to school at the time, and started actually playing months afterwards. He also discussed how he's preparing how to get a program off the ground for kids to code with Minecraft.
- Ponk got onto the server after Dream joined a team-speak with him and George, asking him to join the SMP Server on another stream.
HBomb then asked them how being on the server had changed everything :
- Ponk mentioned that Bad, George, and Dream had all helped him through a rough patch around 2018-2019.
- Sam said that he was grateful for the server, as otherwise he wouldn't have been able to fund his dream of making a coding for kids program.
HBomb asked about the history behind their names and their skins :
- Ponk states that his name came from his last name, and his skin was based on his real life style.
- Sam states that he as a child liked the title: Awesomedude, but when he started playing Minecraft, it had already been taken, so he went with Awesamdude. Sam also mentioned that his skin was based on the Creeper King.
HBomb, asked where is their dream place to live, and are they currently living in that place :
- Ponk said that he never really had a dream place to live, but for now he's content in living in the UK.
- Sam said that he can't see himself living anywhere else besides Texas, which is his current location.

Winner[]

Sam won the episode by four votes and chose the mystery box. The box contained an enchanted book, two saddles, two discs, two netherite ingots and four ancient debris.

Episode 5: CaptainPuffy vs BadBoyHalo[]

The fifth episode of L'Cast was streamed on January 24, 2021, on HBomb's twitch channel with Captain Puffy and BadBoyHalo. An edited version was uploaded onto HBomb's channel on February 7, 2021.

Notable Moments[]

HBomb asks them how they had made their Minecraft skins:
- Bad stated that his skin was his first skin that he made by himself. He also reveals that the skin has different layers.
- Puffy stated that her skin was multicolored since she was color deficient. Her skin also has a layer and she stated that a fan had made her a new skin, also mentioning that her previous skin was a rainbow sheep.

HBomb then asks if they were right or left handed:
- Bad stated that he was almost ambidextrous, but was primarily right handed.
- Puffy stated that she was left handed.

HBomb asks Bad if he had ever swore, and Bad replies that people either mistook what he said for a swear or have tried to make him swear. HBomb then asks him to sing.

HBomb then asks them if they preferred being overdressed or underdressed.
- Puffy stated that she would prefer being overdressed, since she likes to be prepared for important events.
- Bad stated that he would prefer being underdressed, since he he only wanted to wear what he felt was comfortable for him.

HBomb then asked them to chose between never going outdoors at day or never going outdoors at night.
- Puffy stated that she would rather go out during the day.
- Bad stated that he would rather go out during the day as well.
  - During this time, a turtle got into Puffy's boat, making Bad want to get one in his as well.

HBomb then asked the two if they would rather use a steering wheel or a trackpad as a mouse during their YouTube career:
- Puffy stated that she would use a trackpad since she would not be able to open photoshop to edit with a steering wheel.
- Bad also stated that he would rather use a trackpad, similar to Puffy's reasoning.

HBomb then asked the two if they would rather be always ten minutes late, or twenty minutes early:
- Bad stated that he rather be ten minutes late, stating that it wouldn't change much for him.
- Puffy stated that she was an early person and that she would feel nervous if she was late, and felt that she would be letting other people down by not arriving on time.

HBomb then asked if they would rather have his maid service for two minutes or two hours:
- Bad stated that he rather have his service for two hours, since he could hang out with him.
- Puffy also replied with two hours since she would enjoy his company, but said she would feel bad for him, since he had to work for two hours.

Puffy wins the majority vote and got the mystery box containing five music discs as a reward whilst Bad got the rewards from fishing.

Episode 6: Foolish Gamers vs JackManifoldTV[]

The sixth episode of L'Cast was streamed on March 1, 2021, on HBomb's twitch channel with Foolish Gamers and JackManifoldTV. An edited version was uploaded to HBomb's channel on March 7, 2021.

HBomb asks the two to introduce themselves:

Jack says that he streams many categories and enjoys fishing.

HBomb asks the two about their Minecraft skins:

Jack stated that his skin was made a long time ago, and had no 3D proportions to it. He likes to believe that he has different colored eyes (due to fanart of him), and that he was wearing 3D glasses.

Foolish stated that his skin was a combination of a totem and a shark.

HBomb asked the two how they got invited to the Dream SMP:

Jack stated that Tommy had convinced Dream to whitelist him, and that he was part of SMP Earth.
Foolish stated that Dream had contacted him through Discord.

HBomb then asks the two about how they came up with their names:

Jack stated that his name came from when he was making an account for Flash Games when he was 10. He liked the name Thunder, but it was taken, and his mom recommended that he added his birthdate to it.
Foolish stated that his name came from his dad's video game company: Foolish Productions. Since productions was a long word, he replaced it with gamers.

HBomb asks the two what inspired them to start YouTube/Twitch:

Jack stated that he started YouTube when he was 10, and was inspired by the youtuber SkyDoesMinecraft. He made Minecraft tutorials and played Flash Games like Jacksepticeye, and had started streaming on Facebook when he was 15. He then thought about streaming Jackbox, and streamed on Twitch since the Discord server he was in was too full. He then was invited into SMP Earth by Wilbur.
Foolish stated that he was inspired by the youtuber Markiplier, and the first games he played. Them being Here is a Storm, and Fortnite.

HBomb asked who on the server they had gotten close to on the server:

Foolish stated that he had hanged out with Puffy the most, and that he played Jackbox with Bad, Ant, and Punz. He also hanged out with Ponk.

Hbomb asks which Dream SMP memeber they would want to stranded on an island with.

Foolish said that he would chose Bad since he knows how to throw knives for fun.
Jack stated that he would choose Schlatt since he could use guns.

HBomb then asks which Dream SMP member they would like as their alarm clock:

Jack stated that he would choose Tommy since he would scream very loud, and he could ignore the alarm.
Foolish stated that he would choose Wilbur since he likes his calm voice and songs.

HBomb then asks which Dream SMP member they would have to stream with for a year:

Foolish stated that he would stream with Dream.
Jack said he would stream with Niki, since they had became a streamer duo.

HBomb then asks which Dream SMP member would they cook dinner for:

Jack stated that he would cook for Wilbur, since he couldn't taste.
Foolish stated that he would cook for Phil.

Foolish comes out as the winner through a poll in stream chat, and Jack takes the rest of the fished up rewards.

Episode 7: Nihachu vs CaptainPuffy vs HannahxxRose[]

The seventh episode of L'Cast was streamed on April 18, 2021 on HBomb's twitch channel with Nihachu, CaptainPuffy, and HannahxxRose. It was the first episode to feature three contestants. An edited version was uploaded on April 24, 2021.

Notable Moments[]

HBomb asks Hannah what it felt transferring from TikTok content to streaming on Twitch.

Hannah states that some of her fans on TikTok might not know about her Twitch, and that she uses her Twitch streams for content for her other platforms.

HBomb then lets the three introduce themselves.

Niki states that she was a member of the Dream SMP, and makes content with him.
Puffy states that she streams on Facebook Gaming.
Hannah states that she played Bedwars.

HBomb asks the three how they made up their name.

Niki stated that she liked the Pokemon name Pikachu, and replaced some of the letters in the word.
Puffy states that she loved the Pokemon Jigglypuff, got the word Puffy from it, and added Captain to it.
Hannah states that she made her name when she made a Minecraft account in grade 4. She found that everyone used x's in their usernames, and decides to go with it, and added the word Rose to it.

HBomb asks the three which member on the server they got closer to when they joined the server.

Hannah states that she had gotten closer with Purpled, since she only knew him because of Bedwars. She also mentions that Purpled had given her a tour of the server, and that she had met up with him.
Puffy states that she liked to do things with Bad.
Niki states that she had gotten close with him and Puffy.

HBomb asks the three what their biggest accomplishment was from streaming, or on social media.

Puffy states that she had been the most subscribed female streamer on Twitch.
Niki states that she had made more friends, and that she had gotten more confident in herself.
Hannah states that she had made many accomplishments through streaming on Twitch.

HBomb asks what advice the three would give a female streamer.

Niki states that she would tell them that they still have some values, even though male streamers might get more attention.
Puffy states that she would suggest them to ignore any hate comments.
Hannah suggests that they don't give up, since haters would want that. She also states to keep improving, and to make more friends.

HBomb asks the three which Dream SMP member they would like to be stranded on an island with.

Hannah states that Foolish might be able to make a fire, but then concludes with Sam and Karl. She then choses Sam, since she thinks that he might have the intelligence to help them survive.
Puffy states that she would chose Bad since he knows which level of awareness you have to be on.
Niki states that she would chose Wilbur, since she could be able to hang out with him.

HBomb asks the three which Dream SMP member they would like as their alarm clock.

Niki states that she would chose Puffy, since her voice is calming.
Puffy states that she would chose Quackity, and that she would chose him singing the Lice song or Where are the Askers.
Hannah states that she would chose Sapnap, since she needed a loud alarm.

HBomb asks the three which Dream SMP member they would rather stream with every day.

Niki states that she would chose Puffy, since she was fun to be with. She also states that she would chose Jack, since they hanged out together.
Puffy states that she would chose Niki.
Hannah states that she would chose Puffy, since she was good at Bedwars and would still log onto the SMP.

HBomb asks the three which Dream SMP member they would cook dinner for.

Hannah states that she would cook for Niki and Puffy.
Puffy states that she would bake muffins, smiley fries, and dino nuggets for Bad.
Niki states that she would make spaghetti and sandwiches for Hannah.

Niki comes out as the winner through a poll in stream chat, and takes the fished up rewards as a prize. Puffy and Hannah take half of the mystery box each as a prize, which contains some diamonds and steak.
