LazarBeam, more simply known as Lazar or The Beam, is the twenty-ninth member of the Dream SMP, joining on November 23, 2020. He formed the faction Boomerville with Vikkstar123.
Physiology[]
Lazar is a gingerbread man with white eyes and blue furrowed brows. His mouth is curved into a frown, and his mouth is open with a red line outlining his lips. He wears a green armband along with red gloves and shoes. The skins design is based off of his preferred outfit of choice from the game Fortnite Battle Royale called Merry Marauder which he nicknamed "Gingy."
Personality[]
Due to Lazar being old, he tried to stay out of trouble most of the time. He did not seem to be very fond of L'Manberg and had even referred to it as a cult on multiple occasions. He was also not too fond of El Rapids, as they built on his front lawn.
Ambitious and righteous, Lazar believed that he could obtain the most powerful items on the server to rival or be treated as equals with the stronger members of the server.
One of the goals that he talked about consistently was the building of a Membership Monastery as an opposition to the Church of Twitch Prime. He also had a fondness for melons due to them being the primary food source of his own survival world from 2019.

Joining[]
Lazar joined the Dream SMP on November 23. He joined with Vikkstar and was given a tour by Dream and Karl Jacobs before co-founding Boomerville with Vikkstar.[1] He has since built the Church of Boomerville to worship the YouTube gods and have the CEO of YouTube say the masses.[3] He also decided to build a membership monastery in the far off mountains after seeing the Holy Land for Twitch Prime.[4] Lazar was also particularly fond of melons, with him making a melon farm in Boomerville during his first week on the server.
Death[]
LazarBeam, along with Vikkstar, was kidnapped by Dream and Punz on an unknown date in order for Dream to test the Revival Book. They picked Vikk and Lazar because they felt that no one would recognize their absence. They were brought to a secret lab where they were canonically killed multiple times and then revived with the help of the book. After the experiments, Vikk and Lazar were finally permanently killed in order to retain the secrecy of the revival book.[2]

Initially an enchanted diamond axe gifted by Sam so that Lazar could harvest the melons from his melon farm. Lazar then upgraded it to a netherite axe, making it the first netherite item that he had ever made.[5] The axe was then stolen with the two main suspects being Karl and Tubbo.[6] However, the axe is currently in possession of Fundy.[7] |

Sam helped guide Lazar and Vikk to the jungle in order to get pure "untainted" melons, forming a positive relationship. Sam also allowed LazarBeam and Vikkstar to visit his base, granting them unlimited access to all facilities.[11] Sam later gave Lazar an enchanted axe that Lazar dubbed the "MELON HARVESTER."[5] After Lazar lost his original MELON HARVESTOR, Sam led Lazar to a village to trade for enchantment books and offered resources to craft a replacement.[4] |

When Ghostbur first met Lazar, the two were on good terms, and Ghostbur was even nice to Lazar by trying to sell him and Vikkstar a home. However, later on, Tommy and Ghostbur trapped Lazar in an alleyway and mugged him.[12] Despite this, the two seem to be on neutral terms, and there doesn't seem to be any lasting hard feelings between the two. |

After HBomb placed signs in Vikk and Lazar's house saying he would like to be a part of Boomerville, they eventually met up and negotiated.[13] HBomb ended up buying a house in Boomerville and becoming friends with Vikk and Lazar in the process.[14][15] |

Karl gave Lazar a tour when Lazar first joined the server. After the tour, they jokingly messed with each other with Lazar blowing up Karl and Karl threatening to kill Lazar by Punz.[1] However, due to Karl's constant stealing of items from other members of the server and his contribution to building El Rapids, his relationship with Lazar deteriorated. Karl was one of the two people that Lazar suspected stole his axe, the MELON HARVESTER.[6] |

After realizing that Karl was giving Pokimane a tour, LazarBeam attempted to be his wingman. He does so by claiming that Karl has done several things that he didn’t do and also giving him items. Pokimane misinterpreted and thought that LazarBeam had a crush on Karl.[16][17] |

After catching LazarBeam stealing wheat from a farm which Ponk claimed belonged to him, Ponk demanded gold from Lazar as a fee for stealing. LazarBeam then came back with Vikkstar as backup and they had a short battle, after which Ponk fled. Before leaving, however, Ponk warned them that he would be back for revenge.[18][3] |

They agreed on their distrust of L'Manberg and governments as a whole and became friends.[19] Later when LazarBeam was trapped in lava in the Nether, Technoblade rescued him, strengthening their relationship.[20][21] |

Lazar was very wary of Tommy after repeated attempts to persuade Vikk to leave Lazar and live with him instead. A mugging of Lazar by Ghostbur and Tommy seemed to have sealed the deal.[12] However, Tommy attempted to save Lazar after Lazar fell into lava.[22] As a result, Lazar made peace with Tommy and gifted him a new disc, "Far."[23] The two occasionally argue, but it does not often go beyond harmless banter. |
