The Mexican L'Manberg-Dream SMP War is a conflict that took place after the events of the Dethronement Fallout where Mexican L'Manberg incited war against the Greater Dream SMP in an effort to become an independent nation.
History[]
The plan[]
On December 6, 2020, Quackity formed a plan to get Mexican L'Manberg recognized as a country. Karl and Sapnap would hold a protest that would lead Eret to a specific spot on the Prime Path near Eret's castle. When Eret arrived at the spot, TNT rigged underneath the path would be detonated and kill the strikers. The group would use the explosion to frame Eret as a bloodthirsty warmonger, calling his eligibility as King into question and gaining enough support for Dream to recognize Mexican L'Manberg. With Eret distracted, the group would also vandalize the castle to further intimidate Eret. While planning, Karl also agreed to lose a canon life in the explosion in return for the role of Vice-President of Mexican L'Manberg after George's coronation. The four then put their plan into motion.[1]
Battle[]
While conversing with the Knights of Eret, Eret received a message from Karl to head to the castle. Upon nearing the castle, Eret and their knights noticed Sapnap and Karl putting protest signs all over the place. The strikers accused Eret of usurping the throne, and shortly after, George detonated the TNT. Karl died, and George led Eret and the knights away from the castle so that Quackity, Karl, and Sapnap could grief the castle.[2] The three managed to steal the throne and mine blocks from the castle unnoticed before fleeing, and the Mexican L'Manbergians regrouped secretly.[3]
Shortly after, the Mexican L'Manbergians were surprised by an attack from Dream on the country's territory. The four attempted to stop Dream, but Eret and the knights (with Punz joining as a new member) also arrived to blow up massive parts of Mexican L'Manberg and retaliate. Intense fighting broke out between the groups, with Dream fighting Sapnap, and HBomb taking on George while the other Knights blew up more of Mexican L'Manberg. After HBomb and Eret fell off, Punz and George started going at it, while Dream and Sapnap's fight continued on the ground. Eventually, Punz managed to overpower George and scare him away, with a large amount of Mexican L'Manberg leveled during the battle. Outmatched, the Mexican L'Manbergians fled the country to regroup elsewhere, also killing a lone Puffy on their way out. The four regrouped at the Holy Land, where Dream met up with them to negotiate.[4][5]
Conflict resolution[]
Dream met up with the Mexican L'Manbergians in the Holy Land, and Eret and the knights showed up shortly after. After lots of negotiation between the two factions, they eventually agreed that Mexican L'Manberg would apologize and repair damage, return Puffy's items and the throne, and rename the nation. In return, Dream SMP would recognize the nation as independent, something that the Dream SMP had only done for L'Manberg so far. The Mexican L'Manbergians rebranded the nation as "El Rapids" after being recognized.[6][7]
