Sally the Salmon is Wilbur Soot's past wife and the mother of Fundy. She has never appeared in person on the Dream SMP, but Ghostbur has mentioned still having her and her bucket in his possession. Sally was named in "What I Remember" by Ghostbur, and she seemed to be a happy memory for him.
While Sally has not been present in the main storyline of the Dream SMP, her divorce with Wilbur may have contributed to the growing trust issues that led to Wilbur's corruption arc.
Fundy has stated that she works a nine-to-five job as an accountant, and that she is cross-eyed.[2] Ghostbur has mentioned that her favorite color was brown.[3]
Despite originally insisting that Sally is a fish, Wilbur has also since entertained the idea of Sally being a shapeshifter, which is a popular headcanon among fans.
History[]
The concept of Sally was first brought up to Tommy by Wilbur and Fundy on July 30, 2020.[4] He then also explained her existence to Tommy and Jack Manifold on August 4 a few days later.[5]
It is possible that Wilbur ate Sally after having Fundy, as Wilbur has said that salmon is the national dish of L'Manberg[6] and after his failed resurrection, Ghostbur claimed that he had never seen a salmon that he didn't eat. Notably, during the resurrection, Ghostbur also claimed to not remember Sally. It is unclear whether the reason for this is the fact that his book "What I Remember" was destroyed during the Doomsday War, whether he was only pretending to have forgotten her, or whether it simply meant that his memory had further deteriorated over time.
The most recent reference to Sally was during Wilbur and Fundy's "Father son Bonding" stream when Wilbur took Fundy fishing. Wilbur fished a salmon and the two awkwardly let it free and move on with their day.
