Sam Nook is a robot built by Awesamdude to help Tommy with the construction of the Big Innit Hotel. He is also involved in the construction of Awesamdude's bank as well as the fortification of Tubbo's old house.
Physiology[]
Sam Nook is a robot built by Sam resembling his appearance, an anthropomorphic creeper wearing a golden crown, chestplate, and boots. As a worker at Big Innit Hotel, he wore a safety outfit consisting of an enchanted yellow leather cap, an enchanted orange leather chestplate, enchanted blue leather leggings and enchanted leather boots. He also made Tommy and Tommy's friends wear this to protect them.
He eats Hearts of the Sea, as one of the tasks he gave Tommy during the hotel construction was to find some Hearts of the Sea for him to eat - likely due to these powering him.
Sam Nook is either invincible or extremely durable, able to fall from large heights[2] and take many critical hits from an enchanted netherite sword while unarmored.[3] He is also capable of sprinting incredibly fast.[4]
Personality[]
Sam Nook does not speak conventionally, and instead speaks in Animalese, the native language of Animal Crossing characters, while typing in all caps in in-game chat. He occasionally talks in all-lowercase in times of extreme disappointment and frustration.[5] He acts like an NPC, giving Tommy quests and requiring him to wear personal protective equipment in order to enter the construction site of Big Innit Hotel.[6]
Sam Nook is very protective of Tommy and constantly defends him from attackers, as part of the contract Sam had signed prior to building the hotel for Tommy.
History[]
Big Innit Hotel[]
Sam Nook first appeared on January 23, 2021, when the construction of Big Innit Hotel first began.[7]
Throughout the construction of the Big Innit Hotel, Sam Nook gave Tommy tasks to assist the construction process, as well as some safety gear to wear around the site. Sam Nook acted as a site security, not letting anybody without any safety equipment in the hotel. He also regularly wrote reports to Awesamdude about the current progress on the hotel and how Tommy was feeling about it.[8]

On January 24,[9] Tommy was assigned a task to investigate the Egg, apparently to make sure that it wouldn't interfere with construction. While Tommy toured the vines with Antfrost and BadBoyHalo, Sam Nook talked to him through a device in his hard hat, telling him not to expose himself to the Egg. When Tommy came back from the Egg with Ant and Bad chasing him, Sam Nook shooed the two away from the site and they quickly retreated after seeing him. Sam Nook then told Tommy to build a perimeter to monitor the Egg. When Tommy and Tubbo visited the Egg again, Sam Nook saved them.
When Jack Manifold asked for a job in the Big Innit Hotel, Sam Nook was very hesitant and refused to let him on the build site, giving him jobs which meant he would interact with Tommy much less as he was scared for Tommy's safety and suspicious of how Jack was acting. Tommy came up to Sam Nook to ask him to keep an eye on Jack because he was acting very oddly. Sam Nook immediately agreed and fended off Jack when he was done with helping destroy Ponk's lemon tree.
After Tommy's death on March 1, Sam Nook had not been made aware of his death and continued to wait outside Big Innit Hotel for him,[10] believing that Tommy was still trapped in the prison with Dream and still alive.[11] He optimistically stated that Tommy would enjoy the competition with the Bee n' Boo hotel.
When Tommy came back, he seemed happy to see him as always, and stated that he would protect the hotel no matter what.[12] A couple days later, Tommy asked Sam Nook if he could help with his tower near the prison. However, Sam Nook denied and instead said he would report this plan to Awesamdude.[13]
Batman and Robin[]
On June 26, 2021, Awesamdude was being confronted by Foolish and Ponk, in their alter-egos, Batman and Robin, who were accusing him of an unknown crime. The duo investigated him for some time and then decided to report the information. Then, Awesamdude called for Sam Nook to deal with them. Sam Nook asked them to leave the bank and spoke in such an angry way that even the in-game chat couldn't translate it. Foolish and Ponk thought Sam Nook was enchanting them and started fleeing from the site. They got in a boat chase and after some work, Sam Nook managed to get them to flee from the scene.
Re-activation[]
On December 4, 2021,[14] Sam Nook was found by Tommy at the top of Big Innit Hotel. Sam Nook was powered off, and Tommy and Phil re-activated him with 64 redstone dust. After talking to Sam Nook, Tommy showed him Tubbo's old house and told him about his plans to fortify it as his new home. Sam Nook asked for materials from Phil and Tommy to start building. After giving him the materials, Tommy asked Sam Nook to attack Eryn, and Sam Nook complied, killing Eryn in a fight and revealing his invincibility in the process. Sam Nook later started building.

Hired by Foolish[]
On February 8,[15] Sam Nook arrived at Foolish's summer house to offer his assistance for payment. He removed Bad's vandalism from the DreamXD statue for 5 diamonds and killed some of Foolish's zombie pigmen, thinking they were harmful, before receiving customer feedback and leaving.
Foolish hired Sam Nook to build some palm trees,[16] and then asked him to help with the blood vines that had apparently started to come back. Sam Nook agreed, being disturbed by the vines. Foolish told him to search for other vines, and to keep an eye on BadBoyHalo, as he visited Foolish's builds regularly and was the former leader of the Eggpire. Foolish then asked him to build more palm trees and terraform some coastline.
Sam Nook reported finishing all his work.[17] Foolish found vines on the DreamXD statue, which Sam Nook removed before reporting vines in Foolish's Doozer HQ. They cleared it and checked the Egg. Sam Nook said he would report this to Awesamdude and left after getting customer feedback and showing Foolish an infinite moss-making machine that Awesamdude had given Foolish permanent access to.
Sam Nook later reported to Foolish[18], saying that BadBoyHalo had been stealing from him. He also warned him that Bad had been involved with a 'dangerous entity called Sam Bucket' and had been bringing him to the summer home. Sam Nook warned Foolish to be aware of Sam Bucket, saying he seemed to want something. He reported that Bad had stayed away from the Egg and reacted negatively to it. Sam Nook later helped Foolish in his building[19].
Sam Nook was sent by Awesamdude to provide his services to Aimsey, and gave 24 diamonds to make armor as a protection gift[20]. Aimsey asked for help in making an aquarium at the Snowchester mansion. They were accompanied by Eryn, who Sam Nook repeatedly asked if he should kill. They collected glass for the project and Sam Nook showed Awesamdude's spider spawner farm and gold farm, saying that Aimsey was allowed to use them.
Sam Bucket[]
During one of BadBoyHalo's streams a man known as Sam Bucket joined annoying Bad, he would later leave with Sam Nook briefly joining to ignite TNT and then blame it on Bad before leaving which is when Sam Bucket came back.

Sam Nook was a robot built specifically to help build Tommy's hotel and obey his orders. Therefore, Sam Nook had a very positive relationship with Tommy, protecting him from attackers like the Eggpire and Jack and building the hotel. Even after the construction of the hotel, Sam Nook continued to be Tommy's friend.
Sam Nook was never alerted of Tommy's death and upon seeing him after his revival, greeted him happily. However, he was told to keep Tommy away from the prison by Awesamdude. Upon seeing Tommy and his friends telling him that he would go visit near the prison, he said that he would inform Awesamdude of the news. After being re-activated, Sam Nook was happy to see Tommy and, on his orders, began to fortify Tubbo's old house for Tommy to use. |
