—Technoblade, referring to TommyInnit's nickname upon revealing the vault to Tommy. |
Technoblade's second vault, also referred to as the wither vault, is a secret vault built inside a mountain near Technoblade's cabin with a redstone entrance reminiscent of the one built in Awesamdude's base containing weapons, armor, materials, and a large amount of wither skulls. No one besides Techno, Nihachu, Tommy, Dream, and Philza are aware of its existence.
Design[]
The entrance of the base is a seven by seven flying machine piston door built out of stone and dirt to camouflage the room. The slot for the door looks very suspicious, though Techno stated that the mountain side previously looked even more suspicious before he build the vault.[1]
This secret base is made out of stone bricks similar variants to the interior of a stronghold with basalt, shroomlight, and furnaces as flooring. The walls of the interior were covered wall to wall with 166 wither skulls (enough to spawn 55 wither bosses) until some were used and eventually taken down for safekeeping in Techno's ender chest before the Doomsday War.
The interior also contains several chests, a backup netherite set on an armor stand, an ender chest, a crafting table, blast furnaces, and eight pieces of soul sand ready to be transformed into withers. Inside the chests were mostly with bone blocks, bones, rotten flesh, random items, and soul sand.
History[]
Honey farm[]
While speaking with Phil on December 9, 2020 during a visit to L'Manberg, Techno consistently mentioned that he needed honey and asked multiple questions about honey farms. Techno did not reveal the purpose for the honey and only shared that he needed a large amount. Upon arriving at the cabin, Phil started construction of the honey farm, unknown of Techno's intentions to use the honey to build a flying machine door.[2][3]
Reveals[]
The vault was previously only known about by Technoblade, who had initially kept it from Philza to keep his promise to hold back the voices in his head. It was revealed for the first time on December 16, 2020 to Tommyinnit, whose first reaction was to scream in complete bewilderment.[4][5] Techno later revealed the vault to Philza on December 22 after Phil questioned the purpose of the honey farm.[6][7]
First wither usage[]
On January 4, 2021, Technoblade and TommyInnit took three wither skulls from the vault in order to spawn a wither inside of L'Manberg in a ploy to retrieve Techno's stolen items from Ranboo and Fundy and to get a nether star in order to build a beacon for his cabin. Techno and Tommy were able to retrieve both Techno's "Orphan Obliterator" sword and "Axe of Peace" alongside a nether star during the confrontation in addition to dealing minor damage to L'Manberg. The operation cost one wither, bringing down the total withers inside the vault to 54 withers with 163 wither skulls remaining.[8][9]
Doomsday War wither usage[]

The next day on January 5, 2021 after teaming with Dream to destroy L'Manberg, Techno revealed the vault to Dream. However, prior to revealing, Techno had removed all but 18 wither skulls to store in his ender chest. Techno hid the true quantity from Dream and only shared that he had enough skulls to spawn six withers for the war.[10]
On the day of the war, Techno retrieved the eighteen wither skulls from the vault and took seventeen more from his ender chest to give to Phil. In total, fourteen withers were deployed in the assault. The initial withers were spawned over the Bee Dome while the rest were spawned around L'Manberg. The withers played a key role in distracting people, killing several, and causing more damage to the country in addition to Dream's TNT dispensers. As a side effect, Phil managed to obtain two nether stars.[11][12]
At the end of the war, Techno and Phil realized that they still had a total of 121 wither skulls left, which meant that they could spawn 40 more withers. The remaining wither skulls were kept in Techno's ender chest for safekeeping.[13]
Minor repair[]
Although the door was broken for a long time due to an enderman placing a block next to it, Philza repaired it on June 7, 2021 and added string to prevent it from breaking again.[14]
Preparation for Dream's escape plan[]
On the day of the jailbreak, the vault was used by members of the Syndicate to discuss the plan to break Dream and Ranboo out. Maps of Pandora's Vault that Techno had obtained were placed on the walls of the vault. While leaving the vault, a creeper damaged the exterior, though the door's redstone and functionality remained intact.[15]
