I think Sam is absolutely justified in what he does.
My Reasons For The Different Incidents[]
1. Leaving Tommy in the cell during the Security Breach
- He didn't know where the breach was taking place
- He didn't know who was breaching
- He didn't know why the person was doing that
- He didn't know whether Dream had information from outside
- He didn't want to threaten Tommy's life, because Dream might have used Tommy as a hostage if he had lowered the lava, and killed him
2. Torturing Ponk for the old Key Cards
- He didn't know why Ponk would steal them
- He didn't know what information people could get out of them
- It was the fact that Ponk had tried getting the books
3. Letting Quackity in to torture Dream
- Quackity is a master manipulator
- He was still in shock about Tommy's death
- He blamed himself for not doing anything, even though it wouldn't have changed the outcome
4. Letting Ghostbur in, even though he didn't let anyone else in
- Ghostbur is a Ghost, which means he shouldn't be able to die permanently
5. Thinking Tommy wants to free Dream
- He knows what Dream did to Tommy during exile, notably manipulation
- He doesn’t know what Tommy and Dream talked about during the lockdown
- They might have agreed to get Dream out
- He doesn’t know Tommy’s true emotions because they have been screwed with so many times
- Tommy might actually want to give Dream the axe so he can break out
6. Locking Techno into prison
- L’Manberg was destroyed by Techno, Dream and Phil
- Dream probably told Quackity about the favour when the torture got too hard to bear
- Quackity knows what a formidable opponent Techno is
- Quackity doesn’t want Dream to break out
- Quackity is scared Dream will call in the favour to get Techno to break him out
- Noone can kill Techno, so putting him in a prison is the best option
- The fact that Tommy was able to break into a secure facility probably made either Quackity or Sam think Sam can’t keep Dream in and the others safe
- Techno is the only one who can beat Dream
- Sam doesn’t want to hurt more people, so he locks up the one that is, in his eyes, the most dangerous
Can people sue him for dying?[]
No. In the Waivers every visitor has to sign, one can clearly read:
| “ | "I certify that I waive, release, and discharge the Prison from any and all liability, including but not limited to, death, disability, personal injury, property damage, property theft, or actions of any kind which may hereafter occur to me, including my traveling to and from visting the Prisoner." | ” |
This means every visitor has accepted the possibility of death.
